Ja\u00e9n inaugurates the first Astronomical Corridor in the world<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The province of Ja\u00e9n has taken an innovative step in the field of astrotourism with the creation of the first Astronomical Corridor in the world. This initiative covers more than 6,000 square kilometers of territory with protected skies, making the region a benchmark for stargazing and the promotion of sustainable tourism. <\/p>\n

The corridor runs through several regions of Ja\u00e9n, including the Sierras Sur, M\u00e1gina, Cazorla and Segura. These areas have been certified as Starlight Reserves<\/strong>, a recognition that guarantees the exceptional quality of their night skies and their suitability for contemplating the sky. <\/p>\n

The official presentation of this project took place on February 25, 2025 at the Castillo de Locub\u00edn Entrepreneurship Center. The Rural Development Groups of the regions involved participated in the event, with the support of the Provincial Council of Ja\u00e9n. <\/p>\n

A boost for astrotourism and environmental conservation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The objective of this corridor is not only to promote astronomical observation, but also to protect the darkness of the night sky, avoiding light pollution that affects both the visibility of the stars and the local ecosystem. In addition, the project seeks to promote economic development through sustainable tourism, attracting visitors interested in astronomy and nature. <\/p>\n
