The Ca\u00f1amares River is a short river in southern Spain, a tributary of the Guadalquivir River that runs through the province of Ja\u00e9n. It rises in Hoyo Redondo in the Sierra de Cazorla and halfway through its course, next to the hermitage of Nubla, it converges with the river Cerezuelo, and from here it is also called the river of the Vega de Cazorla. <\/p> \n \n
Fantastic and unknown route through this mountain range of ours that has so many charming places. The route is short but very beautiful, 100% advisable. <\/p> \n \n
This route runs parallel to the Ca\u00f1amares River, the sound of water is present throughout the route as the Ca\u00f1amares River is a permanent channel and in this section it runs embedded in a deep valley with very steep walls.<\/p> \n \n
The trail offers good views of the cliffs that the river has caused by eroding the limestone rock. It crosses areas of traditional orchards, olive groves and above all forest land in the Natural Park. There is a gallery forest with poplars, ash trees, hackberry trees and willows as well as other native plant formations with strawberry trees, barberries, durillos, olivillas, pines and rosemary. Among the fauna, we can find the otter, the kingfisher, turtles and the brown trout and even the native crab in one of its last strongholds. <\/p> \n \n
