Chilluévar is located in the east of the Province of Jaén, in the Upper Basin of the Guadalquivir, in the transition zone between the Sierra de Las Villas and the olive growing countryside of Jaén. The town centre of Chilluévar is typical for its narrow and steep streets. Under his feet the horizon of gentle hills and olive groves that populate the depression of the Guadalquivir River expands majestically. Its broken alleys lead to paths and paths that reveal the peculiar nature of its municipal area. The territory is eminently agricultural and dependent on olive groves. A crop that occupies sloping land and goes from the north and east to the rivers of La Vega and Cañamares, to the south and southeast. On the other hand, the proximity of farmland to the mountains constitutes an ideal habitat for small game species and for small insectivorous birds. Its municipal area, integrated into the region of the Sierra de Cazorla and the Natural Park of the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, has four attached population centers: Los Romos, Las Almansas, Chilluévar la Vieja and El Noguero. Among its historical heritage, the church of Nuestra Señora de la Paz, the Torre Duende and an old oil mill stand out.
